Our Purpose
THE PURPOSE OF TWBCA
TWBCA is a God-centered holistic school with a curriculum that is geared towards building a student’s love for God. Our goal is to prepare our students for life by instilling in them the Word of God and teaching every discipline from a biblical perspective. Chritian education is in line with scripture. God tells His people in Deuteronomy 11:19: “ Teach them( God’s precepts) to your children, talking about them when you sit at home, and when you walk along the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.”
Every student needs discipline and instruction in righteousness. Therefore, we believe that the Bob Jones Curricula, along with other Christian and secular supplemental materials, provide the foundation for building both an excellent and challenging educational program. We want our students to understand that their lives have purpose and God has a meaningful plan for their lives.
We see our role as merely an extension of the home, in that our function is to assist parents with the God-given task of educating their children. Here, our students have a love for learning that goes beyond regular education. By teaching the Scriptures and demonstrating to the students that Christian education does not equate to boredom, they have an opportunity to see the Word of God demonstrated on their level in an environment where prayer and worship are perpetual.
While we offer art, music, physical education, and other school programs to help motivate and encourage our youth, we also provide a continuing education program to enhance and develop our teachers as they pursue the call of God on their lives to educate and positively impact the lives of children.
Why Traci Wiggins Boone Christian Academy?
Traci Caroline Wiggins Boone (August 25, 1975)- September 29, 2010) was a beloved and faithful member of True Gospel Ministries for over twenty years. On September 29, 2010, she was killed tragically after her car was struck by a drunk driver. Traci was 35 years old at the time. This academy, named in her memory, seeks to represent her strength, dignity and love for God, and honors her role as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend and more.
Philosophy of Education
Education given to the students will be well-rounded and focused on the whole child every day. Starting with morning professions, each child will be reminded of who they are and their utmost potential.
Teachers will be supported by administration and will have time to begin their school day in a meaningful way. We believe that when educators are supported, it leads to a more positive and collaborative educational environment, ultimately benefitting the student.
Emphasis will be placed on introducing students to the redeeming work of Christ, helping them to appreciate themselves and their fellow man, inspiring them to academic excellence, and enabling them to take their proper position in creation as a living representation of Christ. The student is taught that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
The student is taught that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect and dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of the Tracy Wiggins-Boone Christian Academy.
All of life is governed by God. Therefore, whatever a student learns has God as its point of reference. The school presents to the student a viewpoint of life and the world from God's perspective. This is called a Biblical, or Christian, world and life view.
